It was so nice to see Ray get stuck in a storm in Canada and know exactly what to do. I really liked that sense of self-sufficiency in Fraser's "territory". I also liked the fact that Ray was now getting to experience life as a cop's wife. The uncertainty and constant worry about the safety of your loved one.

I also liked the subtle idea of the difference between "living with" and "a life with". Very, very nice.

*smushes boys* A very enjoyable read.

Oh, wow, I love this. The emotion Ray is putting out is very real and I can feel every bit of it: the worry, the fear that turns to panic at the thought of being without Fraser, and the angry relief at the end.

Also, Fraser's line, "Then there's a life with it." is breathtaking; I can hear just how he'd say it. Go you for writing this, it's gorgeous.

I completely loved this: the tension, the silence, the fear that Fraser wasn't going to make it ... and all of it adding up to Ray's drastic decision that Fraser shouldn't work on his weekends off. *g* Beautifully written!

Oh, that's chilling, and really shows how hard it must be for Ray sometimes--stuck there and not knowing if Fraser's alive or not. Wonderful details.

You did a lovely job of capturing the utter desolation of realizing just how alone someone can be under those circumstances. Lovely work!

Oh my! Exactly what I wanted and more than that, what I needed. What else can I say?

* The detail of the frozen north and Ray's life there, all those little details and asides, were wonderful, perfect, spot on.

* Your characterisation of Ray, more than capable but prone to overthinking, was spot on.

* Angst, I love angst, and I love making out in front of the fire as well. It was a brilliant contrast.

* I love your Diefenbaker and the way he communicated with Ray.

You've more than indulged my now-not-so-secret kink for post COTW cabin fic. <3 <3 <3

I hope your Christmas is as merry as mine.
