You know what's really fantastic? When somebody recs a story that was written as a gift fic for me a long time ago, and I read it again and fall in love ALL OVER AGAIN. Seriously, it's like you tapped directly into most of my v/k kinks to write the perfect story.

This is simply wonderful. Such smart observations, like Ray "clinging fiercely to his remote." That's just PERFECT, and with all the other tiny, lovely moments in this story, adds up to make it terrificly in character and heart warming and beautifully put together without a hint of mush, "You complete me" notwithstanding. Take a bow - you deserve it!

This was a delight!

I loved the way that Ray needs somebody to push back the way he needs oxygen, and none of the sweet pod-cops at the precinct could do that for him until Vecchio got back. And then - ZAP, they're on. Fight fights over Stella's honor, competition over the desk, non-verbal communication on the job and, mmmhmmm, off it.

Hot stuff, thanks for writing it, slidellra!

"I own a five-bedroom house and half a bowling alley, and there's a bassinet in my bedroom. If I get an apartment somebody else will just move in and take it over,"

KILLED me. Oh, poor put-upon Vecchio. Perfect.

And the sentence where he has to pull his coat closed and walk, er, stiffly. Yeah.

Wonderful through and through.

Oh my god, I LOVE this. They are such GUYS, and sex incarnate, and just mind-blowingly wonderful in every way. BOYS! \0/

This is SUCH a brilliant little story. I love the way you write -- it's so sharp and funny, not a word wasted.

I absolutely adored this! It was so slick and clever and sly and hot. Fun, but believable for these two guys. Kowalski's "You complete me" and Vecchio's "How does a human being live without a colander?" both just killed me with glee.

Oh my GOD, I could not adore this more. Great characterizations, great flashes of insight, snappy and smart and funny and hot hot OMG HOT. Sweet and mean in perfect proportion, indeed. :)

Your sleight of hand romance, this I love! The way neither of the Rays sees it coming, it just sneaks up on 'em, all natural and organic-like. Perfection!

Slidellra, I love your writing: everything is so sharply observed, so clear and in-character and funny. You write the Rays so well (and damn, they're sexy in this!) and it's hard not to love a five-thing fic from you. Great job on this, and happy new year!

Section 1 made me incredibly happy. I love it to *pieces*. I like the bit about Vecchio being hard and soft. By the pasta, you had me as warm and pliable as RayK, so when the story ends with RayK noticing Vecchio's expression and acting on it with a speaking look, it only seals the deal. Serious warm gooey goodness in this one.

\o/ Ray/Ray! Excellent Ray/Ray at that! I'd quote what I loved, but I'd end up quoting the whole thing, seriously.

That was fantastic in every possible way there is to be fantastic. Seriously -- I'm trying to pull quotes from the story and I keep revising the amount I have selected until eventually I pretty much have the whole STORY selected, because this is just perfectly, perfectly them. So much <3!

Oh.

Wow.

I just - I loved this. Hilarious - like, laugh-out-loud funny - but with this totally unexpected hot sweet-and-sour core. Terrific.

oh, this was sweet and awesome and THEM. I LOVED this:

>>>"I own a five-bedroom house and half a bowling alley, and there's a bassinet in my bedroom. If I get an apartment somebody else will just move in and take it over," Vecchio explained from the kitchen, banging pots around. "How does a human being live without a colander?"

such guys. So awesome. YAY.

The amount of funny, snarky, sexy-as-hell Ray/Ray fic going around this year! I'm running out of superlatives, but this was *great*. I loved the guy/guy version of romance. I wish I could dig up a more eloquent feedback, but really, I'm just going *squee* in my head and smiling a whole lot, right now.

This was an utter delight. I adore seeing this version of RayK post-COTW, there isn't enough shiny!happy!Kowalski out there. You rock, mystery author.

"You complete me." Hee!

I want to talk about how perfect the understated romance of this story is but I am too busy dancing in circles and sqeeing in delight at the VERY FIRST LINE. It's like you know me. *loves*

Eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Words are inadequate to describe my joy. *Love* this story. \o/! Whoever you are, I adore you.

Oh, guh. Sexy without any sex at all. So nicely understated, with descriptions that seemed real and fresh. And the undertone of humor throughout really worked for me. (Mancini and Morricone, hee!)
