This is a great story, JS. Ray's having such a hard time, with the case, with his parents, with those awful bruises and rope burns all over Fraser. And Fraser is just THERE for him.

I love that Fraser has a spare set of clothes in Ray's locker and trunk that Ray didn't even notice, the extra scrubbing, and Fraser telling the Kowalskis about Ray citations at the end.

Yeah, Ray would. Who was he kidding? Fraser'd haunt him beyond the grave and make his afterlife miserable if he did something so impolite. He felt like laughing and crying at the same time.

In midst all the angst this made me laugh. I really liked this story. I've always wanted to read something about the time Ray and his parents have their first talk and this does it nicely.

The story'll go into my re-read folder. :)

Oh ho, it was so oddly adorable how Fraser keeps spare clothes in Ray's locker and his car and Ray didn't even notice. It tells you LEVELS about their relationship! I'm greedy, I want to read more, I want to read how it turns into slash *grins*. Brilliant work as always!!!

Excellent story. Your Ray voice is wonderful and I love how you've contrasted his family and their expectations with Fraser and how at the end they're more similar than Ray thinks.

I really like Fraser and Ray affirming their friendship. And I like how Fraser recited Ray's citations to his parents. A very realistic and true-seeming friendship story.

Wow, I really enjoyed this...love how the ending of Easy Money so easily accomodates this kind of continuation. I am a sucker for wounded, achy Ray, and also for his courage. The end of this story felt like a gift. I love Fraser's devotion and pride in Ray and love that he would want to share the way he sees Ray with his parents.

Oh, this was wonderful! I always wondered how the scene continued past what we got to see in "Easy Money" and you've done a wonderful job with showing Ray's thoughts and his feelings on his parents' return.

Mmm, this is nice. I like it when Ray gets all emotional, and I like the setting within canon.

Oh. I love the connection between the two of them in this. The way they were worried about each other and how they need each other. <3

This is fabulous. Wonderful exploration of their friendship, and the richness of detail about the day made it feel very real.

EEEEEEEEE! This is wonderful!

Oh, Ray. Oh, Damian. Fraser! Barbara! I love how there is so much here which is unspoken - and that this makes the story so rich and textured.

I especially like the details surrounding Ray's decisions to join the police and Damian's reaction to these.

Your Ray voice is lovely. It's very clear and I can hear his accent in my head, imagine the mannerisms with which he'd deliver his dialogue. Your Fraser voice is also excellent.

I adore the tone. There's this bittersweet current underpinning the story, but there's warmth too. It evokes more than one emotion at once.

Thank you so very, very much :D I love it.
